Last night Manchester Airport announced 15 new food and drink offerings were going to be opening as part of their terminal extension project.
The £1bn super-terminal transformation will see a load of local restaurants and bars opening, with plans for a food hall dining area with street food stalls also in the pipeline for the future.

All the new food and beverage brands will be coming to Terminal 2 when the extension is completed in Summer 2020 - the project will see the biggest investment in the airport's history, with the terminal set to more than double in size.
Local burger legends Archie’s will have a spot, having already seen huge expansion this year - including their new location in the Arndale - so soon you’ll be able to grab a burger and milkshake before jetting off.

Popular coffee shop Pot Kettle Black will also be there, with a brunch and coffee house located in the departures lounge. They will be joined by fellow Manc-brew aficionados Grindsmith, who will have a spot in the arrivals hall.
The Amber Alehouse will feature cask ales and craft beers from Salford’s Seven Bro7hers brewery, and is located in the departure lounge, so you’re 5am pre-flight pint is covered.

If that wasn’t enough, The Bridgewater Exchange brewpub and kitchen in partnership with Joseph Holt will be joining them at the airport.
Italian joint San Carlo will also have a spot, opening its first ever airport restaurant, alongside The Apiary bar and eatery which will serve local tipples like Manchester Still, Zymurgorium and Didsbury Gin, and Daisy Nook.
We’re delighted that a selection of the new food and beverage brands have a strong Manchester/North West provenance/heritage, including @lovearchies, @Grindsmiths, @PKBcoffee, Amber Alehouse and Bridgewater Exchange ? #MANeats pic.twitter.com/oGb9o7OCdD

Local burrito powerhouse Barburrito will also be there, as well as some high street names like Wagamama, KFC and M&S. Indian burrito chain Wrapchic and VIT, ‘a healthy, all-day fresh juice and food bar’, also have spots.
On top of all that, there are additional plans to open eight more outlets in 2022. For more details about the new brands already confirmed to open, check out the airport website here.
Looks like going on holiday just got even better!
