The UK’s first grilled cheese restaurant and a staple of the Manchester food scene has announced it’s reopening for business with limited hours.
Northern Soul Grilled Cheese is a firm-favourite in our city that serves comfort food like no other.
Just like the vast majority of the food and hospitality scene in Manchester, Northern Soul had to temporarily closed its doors to the public back in March amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but it has delighted foodies far and wide by announcing its plans to reopen next week.
Taking to Instagram to share the exciting news with followers this morning, Northern Soul MCR confirmed: “Big news”.
“Packet sandwiches be gone – Northern Soul are back baby”.
Whilst city centre locations have been closed during lockdown, Northern Soul has still been finding unique ways to its feed hungry fans.
The collection of various G.I.Y (Grill It Yourself) #StayHomeKits, which are available for delivery right to your front door, sure went down a treat, but now the wait for the real deal is finally over.
What can you expect from a trip to Northern Soul in the social distancing era then?
A video on Instagram taken at their Church Street Deli location in the heart of the Northern Quarter appears to show that strict social distancing measures have been put in place for ordering, waiting and collection which will allow the eatery to reopen as safety as possible for both staff and customers.
Northern Soul MCR is back “banging out killer beats and rare soul eats” and will be open weekly Wednesday – Saturday from 8:30am-3pm.
