Upgrade your home cinema night with this homemade Tango Ice Blast

You can now make this cinema favourite frozen drink at home and it really couldn't be simpler.

When was the last time you had a Tango Ice Blast?

The chances are, it was probably when you were last at the cinema. For some reason, there's something about a trip to the cinema and a Tango Ice Blast that just go hand in hand, right?

Yes, when you think about it, a Tango Ice Blast is nothing more than a fancy slushie that's really quite expensive, but everything at the cinema is expensive. Plus, you just don't seem to see Tango Ice Blast machines anywhere other than the cinema. Now though, all that's about to change because someone on Tik Tok has shared a recipe for a homemade Tango Ice Blast to upgrade your home cinema experience during lockdown.

The best bit? It honestly couldn't be any easier to make.

All you'll need is:

  • Blender (suitable for ice)
  • Tango
  • Any Ice Lollies
  • Ice Cubes
  • Food Dye (any colour of your choice)

Tik Tok user @caughtsnackin, who regularly posts videos re-creating comfort food recipes to make at home, shared the recipe and step-by-step method to make your own Tango Ice Blasts in this short video.

In the video, the creator uses three ice lollies (of any flavour) and begins by cutting them into strips. These ice lolly strips are then placed into a blender with some ice cubes and a splash of colourful food dye, the colour choice being up to you.

The most important ingredient, which is of course the Tango soft drink (any Tango variant can be used), is added in last and then it's all blended together to create a slush.

You don't have to follow the video exactly though as @caughtsnackin invites creativity with the recipe and even suggests that any fizzy drink will work just as well, although it's much more fun to mix and match the colour combinations just like you see in the cinema.

Will you be giving this a try for your next movie night at home?
