Greggs is opening its second drive-thru in Greater Manchester

It may only be Wednesday, but stop the presses because we’ve already got the biggest news story of the week.

Popular purveyors of baked goods and all-round hangover curing legends Greggs are opening a second drive-thru in Greater Manchester.

That means there will be twice as many locations where you can purchase pasties, sausage rolls and bacon butties without leaving the comfort of your car.

The first Greggs drive-thru in the UK opened at Irlam Gateway Service Station in Salford back in 2017.

And the chain is now set to open its second branch at the Dovecote Business Park off Old Hall Road in Sale, just by the junction with the M60.

The new store will be open from 6am to 10pm every day, according to a planning application lodged with Trafford Council.

Now we just need a few more strategically placed in and around Manchester and we’re fully covered...
