Local purveyors of fine booze Manchester Gin have come up with a new tipple, and it sounds like the ultimate Manc drink.
Their FAC51 Haçienda gin has been created in collaboration with Mancunian legend Peter Hook, of Joy Division and New Order fame, and The Haçienda.
It promises to be a ‘citrusy variation of their Signature Gin’, and pays tribute to Manchester’s past, celebrating music, culture, and our love of a good party.
For everyone asking, Manchester Gin - FAC51 Haçienda is now available on our website ⚠️ 🚧https://t.co/X2gIp2FzuG— Manchester Gin (@MCR_Gin) July 31, 2019
According to their website:
Our master distillers – Seb Heeley and Jen Wiggins – worked with Peter Hook to create a Manchester Gin with Haçienda spirit. It has a refreshing zestiness that comes through from lemon and lime peel; a nod to the vibrant acid house scene. As with the whole Manchester Gin range, it incorporates locally hand-foraged dandelion and burdock root, for a smooth and balanced depth of flavour.
The bottle’s design features a nod to The Haçienda’s black and yellow striped columns, as well as the iconic FAC51 Haçienda logo.
If you want to get your hands on some you can grab a bottle online, or head to the Con Club in Altrincham, C&O Wines in Timperley or Shepherds in Wilmslow, as they’re all currently stocking it.
