In case you hadn’t heard the good news, Six By Nico is bringing a brand spanking new restaurant to Manchester, and their first menu looks absolutely incredible.
Six by Nico is the brainchild of renowned Scottish-Italian chef Nico Simeone, who already has award winning venues - including '111 by Nico' and 'Six by Nico' - well embedded in the Scottish and Northern Irish restaurant scenes.
The new Manchester offering will be the fourth addition to Nico’s growing restaurant portfolio, and his first in England.
They’ve now announced the first menu theme for the Manchester restaurant when it opens later this month, and it’s chippy tea-inspired dishes are bound to please Mancunians.
The restaurant will be offering a completely different six course menu every six weeks, kicking off with 'The Chippie', which promises to bring the flavours of your local chip shop to a fine-dining setting, including Chips and Cheese, a Fish Supper and Deep Fried Mars Bar.
Chef Nico Simeone said:
We are very excited to launch our restaurant in Manchester with 'The Chippie' concept. Most people are familiar with the tastes and scents of their local chip shop and we wanted to take the idea of the everyday chippie menu and re-invent it to create a playful food experience that guests would recognise and be amazed by.
Diners can book a table now for 'The Chippie', which runs from July 14th to Sunday August 18th 2019. Open from midday, Tuesday through to Sunday, each six-course menu will be available from noon to night.
‘The Chippie’ menu includes:
CHIPS & CHEESE - Parmesan Espuma / Curry Oil / Salt and Vinegar Potato Croquette
SCAMPI - Monkfish Cheeks / Pea Emulsion / Herb Butter Sauce / Gribiche
STEAK PIE- Beef Shin / Burnt Onion Ketchup / Mushroom Duxelle / Red Wine
