This underground rum festival underneath Manchester’s Deansgate is a must

Manchester Rum Festival

With the recent inception of gin across UK cities, the distilled daddy of any pirate’s drink shelf has had a pretty hard time. But not this summer, and especially in Manchester…

Following two sellout events in 2017 and 2018, Manchester Rum Festival - the biggest rum festival in Manchester - is making its return to the city centre for its 2019 showing, with a bigger venue that will feature more stalls and more cocktail makers (and twice the fun).

An on-site shop by Marigot Bay Bar and Café will also be available to purchase your favourite rum too!

The Brickworks underneath Barton Arcade

The event is moving to one of Manchester’s coolest venues, The Brickworks, which is located underneath the iconic Barton Arcade on Deansgate.

The Instagram-worthy underground venue will play host to a number of venders, including cocktail specialists from Revolucion de Cuba and Manchester’s best new steakhouse, Alston Bar & Beef. There will be plenty to eat, plenty to drink and plenty to keep you entertained for either your afternoon, or evening session.

The festival was created by Dave Marsland of Drinks Enthusiast to highlight Manchester and the North of England’s huge involvement in the rising popularity of rum across the UK.

And despite 2019’s event being its biggest and best yet, ticket prices will still remain at an affordable £20.
