If you think your Monday is stressful, spare a thought for the woman who gave birth on the side of the motorway this morning.
According to police the baby was born on the hard shoulder of the M60 in Greater Manchester earlier today.
Officers discovered a parked car on the side of the motorway, and after a closer inspection they found a woman inside who’d just given birth.
An ambulance was called to the scene and first reports said both mum and baby were doing fine.
North West Motorway Police reportedly came across the scene at 2.10 this morning, just near junction eight for Carrington.
Rob Lewis, communications supervisor for NWMP, told the MEN:
One of our motorway patrols from Greater Manchester Police came across a vehicle stopped on the hard shoulder of the M60 near to Carrington. The mum had just given birth on the hard shoulder. The baby was fine and they contacted an ambulance. They were treated by the ambulance straight away and taken to hospital. They made some follow up enquiries and mum and baby are doing fine.
In a follow up tweet the police confirmed the baby has been named Luke.
