Breakout Manchester has moved its escape rooms online during lockdown.
The interactive High Street venue – which huddles participants inside a confined space and tasks them with completing puzzles to unlock the door in sixty minutes – has been forced to close their building due to the ongoing pandemic.
But now Breakout is rebooting in a virtual guise.
The tension of completing puzzles against a ticking clock is being packaged into a brand new internet game.
Breakout Play At Home invites the brave to leap into a virtual escape room with up to six friends (via desktop or laptop) and communicate with one another on video calls to find a way to escape.
Ed Roberts of Breakout Manchester said: “People are so bored currently with Zoom and House Party and want something different to do at their weekly virtual meetups.
“We’ve launched an online multiplayer game that can be played virtually on up to six devices at the same time.”
The game has already enjoyed high demand, with the launch announcement generating thousands of views on Facebook.
Head over to the Breakout website to find out more about how to play.
This ought to spice up your next Zoom call. After all, aren’t we all a bit sick of quizzes?
