Bonfire Night can be a brilliant time of the year, with firework displays, bonfires and people coming together to have a good time.

But some idiots can take things too far and ruin it for everyone, and that was very evident last night.

On the busiest night of the year for the fire service, firefighters in Greater Manchester were attacked three times by idiots with fireworks.

The three separate incidents happened across the region, while crews were busy dealing with the many call outs they recieve on Bonfire Night - by the end of the night they’d dealt with more than 200 incidents.

Early in the evening firefighters were attacked by around 20 youths throwing fireworks, with Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service tweeting about the ‘unacceptable’ incident at 7.15pm.

Then around 8.45pm crews were attacked by more idiots on Bolton Street in Oldham, while they were putting out charity bin fires.

The final attack happened on Great Norbury Street in Hyde, with firefighters having fireworks launched at them by 40 young people as they tried to put out a bonfire.

Absolutely appalling behaviour…
