A list of the cleanest towns in the UK has been released, and two Greater Manchester towns made the top ten.
The list took into account air quality, water quality, quality of recycling and the frequency of social media updates that relate to sustainability.
And one of those towns is Eccles, which broke into the ranking of the cleanest areas Britain has to offer.
The Salford town came in 8th on the 2019 Clean Britain Report, based on several factors.
In total 63 towns and cities were ranked, and Eccles broke into the top ten with a score of 45.74% for amount of recycling each household does and 87.77% for quality of water.
It received an outstanding 10 for air quality, and it wasn't the only town in Greater Manchester to make the cut.
Bury came in an even more impressive 7th, making it the very cleanest in the region.
For recycling per household, it got 52.36%, and like Eccles it got 87.77% for water quality and a 10 for air quality.
