Some Metrolink passengers had an interesting trip to work this morning, with a naked man spotted running rampant on the tracks.
Services temporarily came to a stop after the man was seen running along the tram tracks.

According to the MEN, the man was spotted crouching down near the tracks at Old Trafford, with police attending the scene around 7am this morning, Thursday August 8th.
Trams stopped for a few minutes while the incident was dealt with, with police removing the man from the tracks.

The man was removed by 7.15am and Metrolink services are now running as normal again.
A spokesman for Transport for Greater Manchester said:
At 7am we were called to reports of a naked man on the track at the Old Trafford stop. Police attended almost immediately and removed him from the track. Services were not affected but trams had to slow down as a safety precaution. The incident had cleared by 7.15am.
