The country’s tourism board has compiled a list of some of the best deals and travel perks that are available as a thank you gesture to NHS staff and key workers.
With holidays cancelled, flights grounded and the prospect of travelling abroad over the summer more tentative now than ever before amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, many people are seeking out respite opportunities on our own shores instead.
Right across the country, restaurants, visitor attractions, hotels and retailers have started creating giveaways, offers, freebies and discounts especially for NHS staff, as well as a selection of incentives for other key workers to enjoy.
Visit England wants to make it easier for our heath heroes to get some much needed rest and recuperation.
This is why it has put together an extensive list of regional and national giveaways / discounts that are available for them to take advantage of when it’s safe to do so.
In a statement via its website, Visit England said: “this time inside has taught us one important thing – the real heroes aren’t those who appear on our screens, but the health workers, supermarket stackers, bin men, delivery drivers and countless others who are working tirelessly to keep things ticking along”.
