Overrated. Overpriced. Overstuffed. That's NYE in a nutshell... if you pick the wrong place.
But this New Year's Eve is different. It's not just the end of the year - we're bidding farewell to the entire 2010's.
So, it's worth making this night one to remember.
Here at The Manc, we've done some snooping and picked out the biggest parties happening across Manchester on NYE - helping you find the perfect place to celebrate the dawn of a new decade.
It's not often you find a spot serving two-for-one cocktails and spirits on NYE.
But Bar Barton is feeling generous.
The cosy venue just off St Ann's Square is set to be hosed down with confetti come midnight, with a variety of party tracks setting the tone for the evening.
You can also arrange a prosecco reception on arrival, if you're feeling fancy.
