Snow globe bar and Ice Tiki Bar coming to Manchester Christmas Markets this year

We’ve got double good news for you all this morning - this year’s Manchester Christmas Markets are set to feature not one, but two brand new bars.

First up is a dedicated Ice Tiki Bar, serving up tropical cocktails like the dark rum-based Manc-ini, and vodka-based Sex On The Snow - see what they did there?

It’ll be the first time the markets has featured such a bar, and organisers say it’ll be the world’s very first Tiki Bar made of ice.

Due to popular demand, this year’s ice bar area will be much larger than previous versions, with organisers promising a ‘frozen slice of the South Pacific’ in Manchester - think Easter Island ice statues, Polynesian festive ambience, and exotic cocktails.

The new icy Tiki spot will be launching at the Ice Village down at Cathedral Gardens.

If you fancy something a bit warmer, then there'll also be a snow globe bar at the markets, where you can heat yourself up with some winter cocktails.

The giant dome venue, which comes courtesy of drinks company Juniper1933, will be serving up gin hot toddies and other seasonal treats, all underneath a transparent canopy lit up with fairy lights.

This new snow globe bar will be located at the Piccadilly Gardens site, which will open at the markets for the first time in 2019, and will also feature regular live music.

The annual Christmas event is returning to Manchester from Friday November 8th until Saturday December 21st - although traders operating in Albert Square will be open until 4pm on Sunday December 22nd - and stalls will be open seven days a week.
