Manchester’s flagship festival never disappoints - and today we’ve got news of the first official headliner.
No surprise - it’s a biggie.
US hip-hop artist Tyler, the Creator will be performing on the main stage on Saturday June 13.
This will be his first festival appearance in Blighty since Theresa May banned the rapper from entering the country - arguing his lyrics incited “violence and intolerance of homosexuality.”
Tyler has repeatedly disputed this interpretation of his music, and his latest album, IGOR, was critically acclaimed - earning the rapper a Grammy in the process.
The booking announcement comes hot on the heels of Parklife winning the Lineup of the Year at the 2019 UK Festival Awards.
The event takes place on 13 and 14 June, with the full lineup set to be revealed in the new year.
Liam Gallagher will kick things off with a pre-festival performance at Heaton Park on the Friday.
