Lockdown has brought out the baker in all of us. We’re experimenting with the stove like never before.
Granted, some of us are finding the transition from store-bought to home-made a little more difficult than others. But it’s worth nothing that the best-looking desserts can actually be a piece of cake.
Just consider this Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake that sent social media users scrambling for the cupboards this week.
Looks like a lot of effort, doesn’t it? Well, according to one member of the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, there’s only four ingredients required.
Soft cheese. Biscoff biscuits. Biscoff spread. Margarine/butter.
The method seems simple enough, too.
Apparently all you need to do is bang up the Biscoff in crushed chunks, add some melted butter and stir it all together.
After leaving to chill in the fridge for two hours, stir 200g of soft cheese in with 200g of Biscoff Spread and place on top of the biscuit base.
Return to the fridge for about 4 hours and then add a couple of extra biscuits if desired.
Even the clumsiest bakers out there should give this one a go.
