The up-cycled crafty creation was completely free to make as well.
After brands and manufacturers spend so much time on design, we can probably all agree that some gin bottles are just far too pleasing on the eye to be stored away in the cupboard and left to collect dust.
It makes sense that this is why alcohol carts, drinks cabinets and at at-home bars are so popular.
If those tend to be a little out of your price range though and you’re willing to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into a crafty project during lockdown, then one man has created a homemade gin shelf for his wife in their kitchen out of old pallets and it cost absolutely nothing to make.
Sharing the impressive creation to social media, she posted in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group on Facebook and was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from people eager to give it a crack for themselves.
Accompanied by a picture of the shelf, the woman explained: “My gin shelf my husband made out of old pallets we had.”
“Very easy to do!”
Since sharing at the end of last week, the post has amassed well over 2,000 interactions and hundreds of comments from others not only complimenting the design, but also sharing similar and equally as impressive creations of their own.
One impressed user replied saying: “Love it and your selection of Gin is impressive”
Another added: “Need one of these!”
A third wrote: “Love this…if only my gin lasted long enough to need one!”
“It’s amazing. Clever fella you have there” said another complimentary user.
Anyone feeling crafty enough to knock one of these up this weekend then?
