Bolton might not be the first place you think of when talking about fine wine, but thanks to The Bolton Wine Festival and the rave reviews it received last year, that might be about to change.
The event is returning for its second year this Saturday, April 27th, and will be taking place in the Neo Gallery at the Market Place in Bolton town centre.
Punters can taste and buy 100s of different wines by the glass or bottle - depending on how thirsty you are - from a variety of local and national merchants, including: Turton Wines, Reserve Wines, Cantine De Palma, Grape to Grain, Montann and The Bubbly Box.
There will also be private tasting masterclasses hosted by experts, for those who really know their grapes.
Even if you’re not a wine lover, gin masters Ginception will be on hand to serve up some fantastic cocktails, and they even have vodka, whiskey and rum on offer too.
And of course wine tasting just isn’t the same without some great food to pair with it, so you’ll find cheeseboards and wood-fired pizza - courtesy of Mwah Pizzas - on sale as well.
The event runs from 2pm through to 11:30pm (so plenty of time to ensure a wine hangover on Sunday morning) and advanced tickets are just £10 each, while those bought on the day are £12. All ticket prices include entry, a wine glass, a free drink and a voucher for a discount on food.
There are a limited amount of pre-sale tickets still available, which you can purchase from the official page here.
