The Printworks will be turned into a magical Harry Potter world this summer

Great news for Potterheads - the independent Harry Potter fan convention DraigCon is returning to Manchester, transforming The Printworks into a wizarding paradise.

Last year 20,000 fans descended on the Manchester convention, and tickets are on sale now.

The event will run across multiple venues throughout The Printworks, and returning fans will be happy to hear the best magical attractions from last year will be back.

There will also be a Magical Market, food and drink, props and mini exhibitions, Q&A sessions with some of the actors from the film series, and even the chance to get on stage with them to ask questions up close and personal.

Returning Harry Potter stars will include Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley), James Payton (Frank Longbottom), Josh Herdman (Gregory Goyle), Hebe Beardsall (Ariana Dumbledore), Robbie Jarvis (young James Potter), and Benedict Clarke (young Severus Snape).

Event organisers have also promised that ‘wild and fantastical animals will mysteriously appear’, whatever that means.

It takes place over the weekend of Saturday 6th July and Sunday 7th July, and you can purchase tickets via their website here.
