Although Easter may have its origins in religion, these day it’s now more heavily associated with delicious chocolate eggs, for some reason.
Somewhere down the road we strayed further and further from god’s light, turning what was once a celebration of Jesus coming back from the dead into a non-stop choc fest, and to be honest it’s more fun that way.
To celebrate this Easter and all the chocolate that comes with it, the world’s first Easter egg cafe is coming to Greater Manchester.
It’s going to be shaped like a massive Easter egg - so you definitely won’t miss it - and will be full of egg-shaped chairs to sit on while you consume chocolate eggs.
Arriving at the Trafford Centre this Friday, April 12th, shoppers will be able to enjoy the eggy delights for a week in the centre’s Main Dome, as it comes to a close on Saturday April 20th.
They have an eggscellent selection of treats on offer, with a range of deconstructed cheesecakes, including Ferrero, Lotus Biscoff, strawberry, and raspberry and white chocolate, all served in an Easter egg.
There’s also brownies and ice cream on offer - served in Easter eggs, of course - and each menu item is served with a sauce-filled syringe so you can push the boat out and inject an extra layer of topping.
The cafe will be open from 12pm-9pm every day between April 12th and April 20th - except on April 14th when it’s only open from 12pm-6pm.
