Are you a security guard or bouncer who is looking for work? Well, there is an event in Manchester city centre tonight that could help.
Security guard company Whatchya allows SIA licensed guards to work when they want by selecting their own shifts. Guards who sign up are put in a database that companies then use to find and choose guards of their choice for immediate work, but the security guards have all the control.
The event – which is being held at Brickworks in Manchester city centre (just behind Deansgate) – is a night of onboarding and will feature a meet and greet with retired professional British boxer, Olympian and legendary security professional Chris Bacon.
During the night, you can chat to the guys behind the temporary work app, find out more about how it works and why it's the perfect solution for security guards who need work – and you'll also be able to sign up before heading off. However, if you can't make the event, you can sign up on the Whatchya website here in a matter of minutes. But, according to Whatchya, it's advised that you attend the event for a better chance of getting work.
The event will last for two hours from 5pm (you can turn up at any time between 5pm and 7pm) and you can find out more information and confirm your attendance on the Facebook event page here. Get yourself back in work and be in control of your own shifts.
You can find the Brickworks at 48 Barton Square, M3 2BH. The venue is located in an alleyway behind Barton Arcade, or just off St Anne's SQ.
