Williams Land Rover will be showcasing one of the original Land Rover Defenders that appear in the new James Bond movie, No Time to Die, which lands in cinemas from September 30.
Williams, the 100-year-old family business which retails Land Rover, Jaguar, BMW and MINI, is the only retail centre in the North where the original vehicle from the blockbuster movie will be on display.
The renowned dealership will take delivery of the exclusive vehicle, which appears in some of the most iconic scenes in the movie, early next month where it will be on display adjacent to the Trafford Centre, from October 8 – October 22.

Without an engine and transported in its original condition from the movie set, the vehicle will appear in its authentic battered and bruised state after featuring in one of the most high octane, thrilling car chases ever filmed by the stunt team involved.
Gary Nickson, Head of Business at Williams Land Rover, said: “To have one of the Defenders that appears in the long-awaited James Bond movie here on display will be a meeting of great British brands and a unique celebration of Land Rover’s 38-year association with James Bond not far from Daniel Craig’s birthplace in the North West – a fitting legacy as he appears in his fifth and final film for the franchise.”

No Time to Die features three Defenders, two Range Rover Sport SVRs, a Range Rover Classic and Land Rover Series III, as part of the long-standing relationship of Land Rover with James Bond films, which began in 1983 when a Range Rover Convertible appeared in Octopussy.
Most recently, in 2015, the Range Rover Sport starred in a major action sequence in SPECTRE.
To celebrate the latest movie, Land Rover has launched a limited-edition Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition with only 300 available worldwide.

Club de Padel – the first padel club to bring the sport to Manchester – have announced exciting plans for a brand-new club in the city centre.
The Manchester-born business closed down earlier this year after land owners Renaker began redeveloping the site it occupied at Deansgate Square.
But now Club de Padel will be making a grand return home, with an exciting new club featuring five covered courts, a coffee-bar, and event spaces.
They’ve secured a new home within Mayfield Park, beneath the arches of Depot Mayfield which is already home to Freight Island and the Warehouse Project.
The new club will also be close to the park’s award-winning children’s playground.
As well as operating padel clubs in Sheffield and Manchester, Club de Padel has a huge lifestyle arm to its business too, collaborating with local brand UN:IK on a clothing range, as well as working with M&S for a spring childrenswear line.

A popular adults-only ‘after hours’ event is returning to Manchester later this month… and there’s some spooky surprises in store.
If you need an excuse to leave the little Mancs at home, or you just fancy releasing your inner child, then one of Manchester’s most visited museums might have just what you’re looking for, as the Science and Industry Museum has announced that its popular After Hours event especially for adults is returning for one night only at the end of the month.
The museum will become your playground once it’s closed for the day as you settle in for a unique evening of live music, giant interactive games, and spooky surprises for Halloween.

The Museum’s permanent galleries and displays will be open after hours, so you can get hands-on with science in Experiment, meet mighty machines in the Textiles Gallery, and discover Manchester‘s rich legacy of industrial innovations, creativity, and world-changing ideas in Revolution Manchester.
You’ll also get free access to the popular Horrible Science: Cosmic Chaos exhibition, which just opened earlier this year, and get to indulge your playful side in Power Up – with more than 150 consoles to choose from in the ultimate gaming extravaganza.
Especially for spooky season, you can look forward to some very special one-off events too, like stellar performances from Manchester drag royalty, Anna Phylactic, a cosmic cabaret with live vocals, and a monster mash-up soundtrack guaranteed to get you into the Halloween spirit.
There’ll also be a chance to meet Albert Slime-stein – a larger-than-life monster popping up the museum as part of Halloween in the City’s iconic Manchester Monsters trail.
And as this is an adults-only event, the museum’s events bar will be open on the night, serving up a wide range of wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks to wet your whistle while you’re looking around, with some delicious food to accompany too.
Museum After Hours is happening on Thursday 29 October from 7pm-10pm, with tickets setting you back £12 each or £6 for concessions.
