A GoFundMe has been set up to raise funds for the woman who fell through Blackpool Pier onto the beach below.

The woman, believed to be in her 50s, was queuing for a ride on Blackpool Central Pier on Tuesday 6 August when she fell more than 30ft to the beach below.

A large hole was left in the pier after the incident, which left the woman with spinal fractures and a broken arm.

Lancashire Police described her injuries as ‘quite serious’.

The fundraiser set up for her has already raised £3,700, at the time of writing.
