One of the most popular West End musicals in recent years is heading out on a UK tour next year, and it’s stopping off here in Manchester.
After premiering to huge success at Chicago’s Oriental Theatre back in March 2018, and then transitioning to Broadway shortly after, before heading out on a US tour in October 2021, and then moving over to London’s West End in 2020, garnering rave reviews all round, Pretty Woman: The Musical is heading out across the UK.
Based on the beloved 1990 romantic comedy film of the same name starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, the smash-hit musical stage adaptation will be arriving at Opera House Manchester in 2024.
And tickets are now on sale and available to grab from as little as £13.
Unfamiliar with the musical? Described as being a “a sensational show guaranteed to lift your spirits and light up your heart”, when Vivian meets Edward in the late 1980s, her life changes forever, and audiences are invited along to be swept up in their romance.
In this “dazzlingly theatrical take on a love story for the ages”, you can get to know these iconic characters in a whole new way.
Brought to the stage by a powerhouse creative team, the musical features a blazing rock score from GRAMMY winners Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance, and direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Hairspray).
The story of the stage show is also brought to audiences by the original movie’s director Garry Marshall and screenwriter J.F. Lawton.
