Major artist Arijit Singh postpones Co-op Live show due to ‘unforeseen medical circumstances’
'Your love and support are my strength'
One of the biggest acts set to play in Manchester this summer has had to postpone his gig due to ‘unforeseen medical circumstances’.
Award-winning Indian singer and composer Arijit Singh announced the news yesterday to his legions of fans.
The star – one of the most famous voices in Bollywood – said that he was ‘truly sorry for the disappointment’.
Arijit Singh had been lined up to play at Co-op Live in Manchester on 11 August.
The show promised to be packed with some of Bollywood’s biggest hits, with Arijit’s incredible voice featured in some huge films over the years.
His summer touring schedule also included shows in London, Birmingham and Rotterdam – all of these shows have been pushed back.
Arijit has promised ‘an even more magical reunion’ when he is able to perform again later this year.
His Manchester show has already been rescheduled to 22 September, so fans won’t have too long to wait.
Arijit Singh said in a statement shared online: “Dear Fans, It pains me to share that unforeseen medical circumstances have forced me to postpone our August concerts.
“I know how eagerly you were awaiting these shows and I’m truly sorry for the disappointment.
“Your love and support are my strength. Let’s turn this pause into a promise of an even more magical reunion.”
He continued: “Thank you for your understanding, patience, and unwavering love.
“I can’t wait to create unforgettable memories with you all.
“With heartfelt apologies and endless gratitude. Arijit Singh.”
