Stockport band Blossoms have confirmed a physical release date for a brand new double album.
Entitled ‘In Isolation/Live From The Plaza Theatre, Stockport’, the two-sided LP is set to feature music created during quarantine and a full live set from 2020.
The local stars scored their second number one album earlier this year with ‘Foolish Loving Spaces’ – with the recording from the LP’s launch show being included as part of the upcoming release.
Blossoms’ new album also treats fans to appearances from other northern stars – including The Courteeners’ Liam Fray on a version of Please Don’t, The Coral’s James Skelly on a reworked Dreaming Of You, and Miles Kane on their Tame Impala cover The Less I Know The Better.
The indie pop band have emerged as some of the most exciting on the Manchester music scene in recent years – having been nominated for a BRIT Award and Mercury Prize since forming in 2013.
Three albums and four EPs have seen the band gain a huge national following, with several songs from ‘In Isolation’ having already been streamed over 1.4 million times since appearing online.
Copies of their latest release, ‘In Isolation/Live From The Plaza Theatre, Stockport’, will be available to purchase from 23 October.
Blossoms have also rescheduled their upcoming tour – with a planned visit to Manchester Arena scheduled for 3 April next year.
