Manchester’s massively popular East and South East Asian street food fair is returning to the city centre next month.

Merely weeks after the city celebrates the ‘Year of the Dragon’ for this year’s Lunar New Year this weekend, another celebration of East and South East Asian culture is set to arrive back in Manchester by popular demand.

That’s because GRUB has announced that’s its much-loved East and South East Asian Food Fair is returning for another weekend of tasty eats very soon.

Unfamiliar with GRUB?

It’s a street food market and social hub just outside the city centre at the Red Bank Project in the Green Quarter that’s known for hosting a jam-packed lineup of events throughout the year, and for also being home to a wide range of rotating food and drink vendor pop-ups that hook Mancs up with some of the best eats from across the globe.

And the East and South East Asian Food Fair is one of its best-loved and most popular events each time it rolls around.

Taking over on the first weekend in March, the three-day event is set to treat festivalgoers to food from five of GRUB’s favourite street food vendors, who will all be serving up delights directly from the East and South East of Asia.

This means that, from 6pm on Friday 1 March right through to Sunday service on 3 March, you can get your hands on Malaysian dishes from Little Yellow Rice Co, South Korean wonders from the aptly-named Korean Grub Club, and Japanese savoury pancakes from Osaka Local, as well as deep-fried delights from All Fried Up too.

Not only that, but for those with a sweet tooth, there’ll also be an array of desserts and treats courtesy of the popular Mary’s Cakery Makery too.

GRUB says the East and South East Asian Food Fair is by far one of its best-attended annual events each year.

It’s also one of the venue’s personal favourites to host for foodie fans as well.
