Albert’s Schloss has announced an incredible “one pound pints” offer this week as a way of ensuring no beer goes to waste over lockdown.
As the country gears up to enter into a national lockdown once again from Thursday, Manchester’s “Bavarian pleasure palace” Albert’s Schloss – found on Peter Street in the heart of the city centre – is also preparing in the best way it knows how.
£1 pints with every “substantial meal”.
And after it was estimated that nearly 50 million pints of beer went to waste across the UK during the first national lockdown, this is probably for the best.
Announcing the unmissable deal via social media this morning, Albert’s Schloss said: “Today til end of play Wednesday, we’ll be serving £1 pints to #WasteNotWantNot.
“Tour the Taps to stop it going to waste,
“You can also take away a one litre growler of your favourite bier for only £2.50, just ask your server.”
If that didn’t already sound good enough, this deal is available on every draught bier until they’re all gone.
So, if you fancy heading down to Peter Street this week to make the most of the offer, then Albert’s Schloss will be open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week from 4pm – 10pm until doors temporarily close once again for the next few weeks.
As per Tier 3 government guidelines, all bier must be served with a “substantial meal”.
Luckily, Albert’s Schloss’ ‘Eat Out to Drink Out’ deal means you can order a range of ‘Bier Food’ items – which are slightly lighter versions of the classic Cook Haus dishes – each weekday, and pair it with a drink for just £12, two drinks and a meal for £16, or push the boat out with three drinks and dinner for £20.
To avoid disappointment, you are strongly advised to make a booking in advance and you can do so via the Albert’s Schloss website here.
