The NHS staff are our heroes all year round, but now more so than ever.
This is why many cafes, restaurants and shops are offering freebies to NHS workers amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Both local and national, chains and independents. More and more companies are recognising the efforts of our health service and are getting on board each day.

Nothing else matters. We intend to close Mowgli across the country as of tomorrow night. Any NHS workers dining in Mowgli today and tomorrow with their NHS ID will receive food for free. It is our way is clapping you from our balconies our dear heroes we thankyou for all you do and all you will do over the next months. As we mothball our beloved Mowgli, myself and my senior management team will now work without sleeping on the way in which we can honour our teams over the next months. I believe when the world emerges from this forced restructuring of life, any new dawn will have a place for Mowgli. It is because of the loyalty support and encouragement of you our dear dear Mowglites, that we have a chance of hibernating but keeping our little corner of the economy alive and able to re-germinate on any new horizon. For that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. See you on the other side- we wait for that day - and so much Mowgli love to you all ❤️

Here are just a few other NHS freebies available elsewhere in the UK that we still think deserve our applause:
• Dominos - Three Yorkshire branches of one of the UK's most popular takeaway food chains, Pontefract, Castleford and Hemsworth, are giving NHS staff free pizza this Friday 20th March. Hopefully we'll see this across Greater Manchester soon.
• Best One Northampton - This corner shop in Northampton is not only giving free coffee to NHS staff, but is just generally going above and beyond for its community with the additional services it's offering.
• Millennium Hotel, Chelsea - Chelsea FC owner, Roman Abramovich, is offering NHS staff the opportunity to stay in the four star hotel in Stamford Bridge for free whilst they tackle the coronavirus outbreak.
If you know an NHS staff member, let them know what perks they're entitled to over the coming weeks - they really do deserve it!
