Bobby Ball has died at the age of 76, his manager has confirmed today.
His death comes after the legendary actor and comedian from Oldham recently tested positive for Covid-19.
Ball was one half of comedy double act Cannon and Ball, alongside his long-time friend and colleague Tommy Cannon.
He starred in sitcoms such as Not Going Out, Last of the Summer Wine and Heartbeat and was famous for twanging his braces on stage, while saying: “Rock on, Tommy.”
Bobby had been admitted to Blackpool Victoria Hospital with breathing problems. It was thought he had a chest infection but he later tested positive for coronavirus. He died at 9.30pm last night.
