A Disney Store in Aberdeen city centre was closed this morning for health and safety reasons.
The Scottish store stuck a note in their window shortly after closing their doors today, stating: “To ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff, Disney Stores across the UK have been temporarily closed.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Our products will continue to be available on the website www.shopdisney.co.uk.
I’ve just been informed that every Disney store in the UK @shopDisney is closed until further notice in light of Covid-19. This is crazy. They haven’t announced on Facebook or anywhere else but I called bluewater myself to confirm.— Pegsicle ♿️??? (@Pegsicle) March 16, 2020
“For more information, please continue to follow us on our social channels or contact Guest Service Centre at the toll-free number 0800 014 9648 from 09:00 to 21:00 7 days a week.”
A post on Facebook group Primark and Disney pickups from a reliable admin also appeared today – showing a similar letter in the window of another Disney branch in the UK.
Dave Highfield, who made the post, is a Disney Store employee. He said: "Disney Stores all shut their doors earlier this morning.
"This is temporary until April 3rd. We're told that date but it will be reviewed nearer the time."
