Government ministers have confirmed in parliament this afternoon that driving lessons can resume in England next month.
Driving schools have been given the green light to start teaching pupils to drive from 4th July.
The DVSA also confirmed the news to the public via Twitter stating that: “As the Leader of the House announced in Parliament, driving lessons can resume in England from 4 July.”
“Driving tests will resume following that in a phased approach, allowing drivers time to reskill ahead of their tests.”
“More details will be provided shortly.”
A new plan for instructors is currently being drafted up with new guidelines on how they will be able to teach again with safety measures in place.
Details of these plans are expected to be available to instructors in due course.
