The taste of New York is heading back to the Northern Quarter.
One of the city's much loved independent eateries is returning to Manchester following closure for refurbishment last year.
Eat New York announced the closure of it's Northern Quarter restaurant back in October to create a "somewhat different look and feel", but vowed to come back in style.
After two years of serving bagels from a humble food truck, Eat New York set up shop in the heart of the Northern Quarter in November 2017. As well as cooking up all of its fan-favourite bagels, the Oldham Street restaurant is home to the famous 'Reuben Sandwich', as well as a full menu of burgers, salads, breakfast/brunch, cocktails and some mega desserts too.
After closing, it still had a popular run at the Christmas Markets towards the end of last year, serving up freshly sourced food to the good people of Manchester, but we have been missing its presence in the city since then.
Luckily though, we won't have to wait much longer now to get that taste of New York back in our lives.

Given the challenging and unforeseen circumstances the world has currently found itself in, things haven't gone quite to Eat New York's initial plan for re-opening though. The target date of March was pushed back to May, and now May has unfortunately shifted to unknown, but COVID-19 isn't stopping the bagel giants from feeding hungry Mancunians when they need it most.
That's why it's hopping back on board with food delivery services, primarily Deliveroo to begin with.
The new takeaway menu includes all of the classics, from big hitting bagels to best selling burgers. There will also be loaded fries, sides, drinks and desserts available to order.
You can check it out in full here.
As always, there is vegan, gluten free and halal options available.
Eat New York has set the date of 30th March to be back up and running for delivery, but when it comes to the date for the Oldham Street restaurant re-opening, we'll just have to keep eagerly watching this space!
