Boris Johnson has revealed that weddings will be able to take place once again, whilst confirming that schools will fully reopen later in the year.
Couples will be able to tie the knot again in small ceremonies from next month.
Places of worship will be able to reopen for prayer and services including weddings with a maximum of 30 people, all subject to social distancing.
Primary and secondary school pupils will return to education facilities from September onwards, provided it is safe to do so.
The Prime Minister revealed the news in the House of Commons this afternoon – with his statement representing the biggest lift in England lockdown measures since the country closed in March.
Bans on weddings and civil partnerships were also lifted in Wales on Monday, but services must be small enough in order to protect guests.
