Huge queues have formed along the M60 this morning after a man was hit by a lorry.
The motorway is closed clockwise between J13 – J15, near Worsley following the serious road traffic collision.
National Highways has said that there are now five miles of congestion on approach to the incident, with delays of around 30 minutes.
Vehicles caught between the closure and the incident are being turned around while emergency services are on the scene.
It’s expected that the M60 will remain closed for a number of hours while the police investigate.
In a statement provided to the Manchester Evening News, GMP said: “We were called at 6.20am to a report of a collision between a man and a lorry on the M60 clockwise near junction 13.
“Emergency services are currently responding and this section of the clockwise side has been closed while this continues.
