McDonald’s Monopoly is officially returning to the UK for Summer 2021, if you needed some good news.
After cancelling the 2020 game due to lockdown, the fast-food giant has confirmed that the much-loved ‘game’ will finally make its comeback with huge prizes up for grabs.
Prizes from McDonald’s Monopoly vary from a free portion of chips to a luxury holiday or a brand new car (I wouldn’t mind literally any of them) by collecting stickers based on locations from the classic board game.
McDonald’s will be bringing Monopoly back at 1,300 UK restaurants.
Making the announcement on Twitter earlier today (Monday), McDonald’s UK tweeted: “The news you’ve all bee waiting for… Monopoly returns Summer 2021.”
A McDonald’s spokesperson added: “We’re delighted to confirm Monopoly will return later this year. More details will follow in the Summer.”
There’s no confirmed date yet, but we reckon everyone’s favourite fast-food stickers will make a return at some point very soon – as the 2020 version was meant to start on 25 March, 2020.
The fast food chain is keeping restaurants open for drive-thru purposes currently and will be able to serve customers indoors from May.
