Marks and Spencer has released some new themed party sprinkles based on our favourite edible characters.
Yes, that’s right, Percy Pig and Colin the Caterpillar can now be enjoyed in multicoloured sprinkle form: ready to be dusted over cakes, brownies and doughnuts.
An absolute must for any summer birthday parties, both come in clear plastic screw top packaging and feature an array of bright colours sure to make any cake look utterly scrumptious.
The popular character-themed sprinkles are also joined by a third, a simpler ‘chocolate medley’ mixture of dark, milk and white chocolate miniature buttons. Not as fun, perhaps, but definitely useful.
Food blogger Newfoodsuk shared a picture of the sprinkles – and various other treats – to Instagram captioned: “new Sprinkles & Baking Decorations now available at M&S!”
At the time of writing, the post has already amassed over 5,000 likes 300 comments.
One user, charlottebarcham, expressed how we are all feeling right now when she commented: “I would eat the colin ones on their own.”
Of course, Marks and Spencer’s Colin the Caterpillar is hot property right now after the retailer recently became embroiled in a legal battle with competitor Aldi over the budget version of the larvae pudding.
Colin is one of M&S’s flagship food items and has been around for over three decades, launching many spin-offs over the years.
So, now you can sprinkle him on a cake, why wouldn’t you?
Our thoughts exactly.
