Nando’s has announced the reopening of a further 61 restaurants across the UK and is also scrapping delivery service charges for the next two weeks.

The popular chicken chain restaurant is “gradually firing grills back up across the country” and now has a total of 216 branches open in some capacity across the UK.

A number of Greater Manchester outlets are open for both delivery and contactless collection services.

Nando’s has also knocked off delivery and service charges for the next two weeks. This is an online only offer, so if you’re looking to make the most of this deal, you’ll need to place your order via the Nando’s website, rather than the app.

You’ll also be able to earn chillies from the Nando’s loyalty scheme through the website and you can use them to redeem free food when branches reopen for dine-in.

Nando’s

Nando’s made the decision to temporarily close all branches to the public back in March amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

It has been staging a phased-reopening of restaurants for collection and delivery for the past few weeks, but as of yet, no formal date has been confirmed for when dine-in services will resume.

In a statement addressing the measures it is taking to ensure staff and customer safety upon reopening, Nando’s said: “Food is being prepared and delivered under strict UK government guidelines, to ensure restaurant teams, delivery drivers and customers are safe.”

“Drivers are being instructed to maintain social distancing when waiting to pick up orders, restaurant staff will hand over food whilst maintaining social distancing, and contactless delivery will be available upon request.”

Nando’s is currently offering a limited menu due to social distancing measures.
