Popular bar and shooting simulator Point Blank give COVID-19 update

Point Blank

As a newly established player in the Manchester Activity & Hospitality scene, Point Blank Shooting is responding to the current climate with optimism, focus and care.

They celebrate their birthday this week along with what will soon be the launch of their second venue, Point Blank Shooting Newcastle, and rather than recoiling, the guys are coming out all guns blazing.

Point Blank are the UK’s first and only fully immersive shooting simulation range based on Deansgate. In only twelve months they have taken a concept and turned it into reality, right in the heart of Manchester.

Since opening they have welcomed over fifty thousand guests through their doors with a five star rating across Trip Advisor, Facebook & Google.

The unique bar is the old tail of two local lads. Owner Mark Rushton states: "We’re really encouraged with the response by the government and extremely fortunate that we qualify already for some of the stimulus being offered, but this will take time to come through, so it’s important we also do everything we can to keep the lights on, and more importantly preparing for our future.

He continues: “We’re super focused as a team with all of us doing our bit to get through this extremely testing time, but determined to come out the other side stronger than ever. Ultimately, taking care of the team that got us here is the most important thing to me; along with my wife and children.

"Our ‘aim’ is to retain all staff with as little to no disruption to wages by looking at new revenue, such as our new gift card initiatives. We’re looking to raise as much money as possible to safeguard all staff to ensure no pay disruption at all should and further restrictions come into place, with every penny raised going to keeping staff fully employed.”

The company are also working with Manchester based investment company Sedulo to look at possible share options. Not only to sure up the business now, but to secure the future of the company.

The lads are ready to come out of the blocks at full pace once the industry recovers, with them already scoping out a new site next door having already outgrown their current site.

The Manchester venue is booked over a month in advance on certain days already.

To show your support for Point Blank, they are asking people to rifle down the back of their settees and buy gift vouchers that contain one-time-only deals for when normality returns.

You can do that on their website here.
