The vehicle used by Max and Paddy in Phoenix Nights has been spotted for sale on eBay.
The motorhome made a final appearance in the last episode of Peter Kay’s cult hit comedy in 2002, with the bumbling bouncers graduating to a bigger van for spinoff show 'Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere’.
Current owner Denis Cartledge purchased the Ford Transit camper van four years ago and named it “Maddy”, but has decided to put it up for sale as she can’t find the time to maintain it.
“With Peter Kay doing the Phoenix Nights charity screenings, I felt like now is the right time,” said Ms Cartledge.
“As much as I love her, I can’t maintain her, so hopefully someone can keep her on the road and take her to rallies and things like that.”
With 98,000 miles on the clock, “Maddy” has an MOT until March 2020.
At the time of writing, the bidding price has tumbled over the £4,000 mark… but the reserve (the minimum the seller will accept) has not yet been met.
If you fancy getting your hands on the ultimate piece of Phoenix Nights memorabilia, visit the listing online and place a bid.
And as the product description confirms: “Best of all you won’t have to pay council tax…”
