Nuttall, 20, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme in the winter of 2018 after a brain scan that showed six brain tumours.
The shows are set to take place at Manchester‘s O2 Apollo on August 7 and tickets went live at around 9am today – however, in classic Peter Kay fashion, both days sold out in under 1 minute.

Announcing the tickets on social media, Peter Kay’s official Twitter account tweeted: “Tickets now on sale for two special Q&A’s at Manchester O2 Apollo on Sat 7th Aug 2021.”

“All profits go to Doing It For Laura Charity with a portion of the profits going towards The Brain Tumour Charity.”
However, it didn’t take long at all for people to start responding to the tweet saying that they’ve sold out and that they couldn’t purchase one.

One person responded: “SOLD OUT after 1 minute but I’m sure there will be tickets at inflated prices on secondary ticket sites very soon.”

These live shows will be the first public appearance in such a setting for many years after the comedian stepped out of the limelight in 2017 for personal reasons.
He wrote in 2017: “Due to unforeseen family circumstances, I deeply regret that I am having to cancel all of my upcoming work projects.

“My sincerest apologies… I’m sure you’ll understand that my family must always come first.
“I’ve always endeavoured to protect my family’s privacy from the media. I hope that the media and the public continue to respect our privacy at this time. Once again, I’m very sorry.”
The live shows take place August 7 at the O2 Apollo in Manchester, but if you fancy seeing a rare appearance of one of the world’s most loved comedians, you’re probably going to have to reach into your savings.

Student police officer charged with off-duty rape and kidnap of woman in Manchester

A student police officer has been charged with the rape and kidnap of a woman in Manchester while he was off duty.
Mohammad Hassan, 23-years-old and of Asian-Pakistani ethnicity, has been remanded in custody following the charges, and has been suspended Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
The charges – which have been authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) following a police investigation – relate to reports made to authorities on the evening of Saturday 8 August 2026, which ended in a police pursuit on the M62 in West Yorkshire.
Following the police pursuit, a woman was safeguarded at the scene, and continues to be supported by specialist officers and support services.
Hassan has been charged with oral rape, kidnap, strangulation, sexual assault, theft of mobile phone, and dangerous driving.
He is set to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court today (11 August).
“GMP detectives and staff have been working on this investigation throughout the last 48 hours to ensure charges are brought in this case,” explained GMP Assistant Chief Constable, Mark Dexter.
“The victim is our priority, and we are ensuring she continues to receive specialist support. Criminal proceedings must now take its course without interference.
“I understand, and share, the feeling among the public and our thousands of hard-working, decent staff who will have seen this news. Proceedings are underway and necessary action will be decisively taken within the regulations.”
