Two men in hospital after stabbing in Shudehill in Manchester city centre

There has been another stabbing incident in Manchester city centre.

Two men are in hospital this morning after a stabbing that took place in the Shudehill area of the city centre.

It has been advised to avoid the area while the investigation is ongoing.

Traffic has been affected by the incident, with TfGM tweeting: "Due to a police incident Shudehill/Withy Grove is closed in both directions between Thomas Street and Dantzic Street.

"Buses out of Shudehill bus station to turn left towards Inner Ring Road."

The incident is said to have taken place at around 6am, when police officers were called Shudehill to reports that a man had been stabbed.

According to Greater Manchester Police, two men were taken to hospital and remain there with minor stab injuries.
