It’s ‘Iberia Week‘ at Lidl from Thursday (22 July) – and the supermarket is mirroring the nation’s summery mood by holding a special promotion on products from the sunny European peninsula.
Tapas plates, sliced meats, cheese selections, olive jars and Pastéis de Nata are all hitting shelves in a matter of days. But what’s really turning heads is the item being added to the freezer aisle.
Lidl is selling some delicious-sounding Sol & Mar Spanish-Style Ice Lollies in multiple flavours – including Blood Orange, Watermelon, and Sangria.

The lollies come six to a pack – and boxes are available for just £1.49.
It’s tough to think of a more appealing snack in a heatwave like this – and it sounds like Manchester is set for a few more days of blistering sun as things stand.

According to the latest forecasts from the Met Office, temperatures could reach a sizzling 29 degrees on Wednesday, topping 27 and 25 on Thursday and Friday respectively.

Young darts sensation Luke Littler has about as big a 12 months as a professional could hope for and many of those who don’t even watch ‘The Arrows’ now know his name, so much so that he’s already holding a meet-and-greet that is selling quicker than you say ‘180!’
Warrington locals are set to welcome Luke ‘The Nuke’ back to his hometown but it’s fair to say the event is taking place exactly where you would have expected.
The 2024 World Series, Premier League of Darts and Players Championship winner’s fame and reputation have continued to skyrocket ever since his debut, so he’d easily have fans lining up pretty much anywhere, especially in the WA postcode.
Nevertheless, hordes of kids looking to follow in his footsteps and bolster a new generation of youth darts players can attend Luke Littler’s meet and greet at none other than… a Smyths Toys Superstore.

Located on the JunctionNINE Retail Park, Warrington Symths Toys will see the 17-year-old taking photos with fans, chatting to budding darts hopefuls and, as it turns out, show off his new personal collection.
Yes, while there will be plenty of wholesome selfies and wide-eyed little kids looking to meet their local hero, Littler and his team chose this particular location as Smyths Toys will be stocking his new range of Target Darts.

Once again, his meteoric rise has seen a huge uptake in young people wanting to try their hands at the sport, with the official Luke Littler Cabinet Set even being named as the Judge’s Pick for ‘Best Gift for Teens’ at the 2024 Christmas Wishlist Awards.
Beyond that, the shop also has the highly sought-after Luke Littler Magnetic Dartboard set for the little one, as well as the Luke Littler Steel-Tip Brass Darts, designed in celebration of the 17-year-old’s tremendous performance at the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship.

The meet and greet will kick off from 1pm on Saturday, 5 October but you’ll have to be quick if you want to secure a spot. However, the store will still be open between the regular hours (9am-8pm), so you can still try your luck to try and catch a glimpse of ‘The Nuke’ and pick up a darts set or two.

Aldi has launched its first ever ‘superfan card’, and is looking to give one lucky person free shopping for a full year.
Did you know that, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the average UK household now spends, on average, £4,124 on groceries annually? For many families, that figure could be even higher too unfortunately – but for one lucky Aldi shopper, they soon won’t have to part ways with a single penny for 12 whole months.
That’s because the budget supermarket retailer has just launched a new ‘superfan card’ for the first time ever, and wants to celebrate its most loyal customer by offering them a year’s-worth of groceries for free.
Only one shopper will be able to claim the exclusive new card.

While Aldi is the UK’s cheapest supermarket, which tends to mean customers spend less groceries overall, the wide selection of seasonal Specialbuys on offer in the fan-favourite ‘middle aisle’ can often mean they end up spending more, which is why Aldi’s Superfan Card will be worth £5,000 so the winner can bag the exciting extras as well as the essentials.
Richard Thornton, who is the Communications Director at Aldi, is calling this a “once in a lifetime opportunity”, adding: “We know how passionate our customers are about Aldi, and we wanted to find a way to give something truly special back to Aldi’s biggest fan.
“We can’t wait to see the creativity and enthusiasm in the entries.”

All bargain-lovers need to do to be in with the chance of winning the new card is explain to Aldi judges – who will carefully review all submissions – in no more than 250 words they are the company‘s biggest fan and deserve to win a year’s worth of free shopping.
