Aldi is launching an upgraded version of its viral hanging egg chair that’s big enough for two people

The larger Rattan Hanging Egg Chair is “timeless” and can add “a touch of style to your indoor or outdoor spaces”.

Nothing gets shoppers quite as excited as when Aldi announces that its sell-out hanging egg chair is back in stock.

It’s really not an exaggeration to say that people go mad for it.

The Rattan Hanging Egg Chair – which has been seen in the homes of cleaning influencer Mrs Hinch, Stacey Solomon and more – is no doubt one of the budget supermarket chain’s best-selling items. So much so, that’s it’s near impossible to get your hands on, often being sold out online and nowhere to be seen in store – and when it does come back in stock, it gets snapped up within minutes.

According to the product description on the Aldi website, the Rattan Hanging Egg Chair is “timeless”, can add “a touch of style to your indoor or outdoor spaces” and has a “strong frame and soft cushions allow you to relax comfortably for hours anywhere you choose”.

The description also adds that it’s the “perfect for a comfy corner” and “provides a choice of cosy spots to spend lazy afternoons”.

To cut a long story short, it’s pretty popular.

Last month, Aldi unveiled a spin-off version of the popular egg chair for cats – which has been going down a treat with pet owners across the UK – and now, it’s announced that a larger, upgraded version is set to hit stores in a couple weeks, and it’s big enough to comfortably fit two people.

Other than the fact that it’s bigger and a little darker in colour – with both the chair frame and cushions being a slate grey – this larger version of the viral chair is pretty much exactly the same as the original, so fans of the design won’t be disappointed if they’re after a bargain.

If you’re keen to get your hands on the new chair, it’ll set you back £249.99 and you’ll have to wait until it launches next month on Sunday 4 July.

It sadly won’t be available in-store, so you’ll have to head online to Aldi’s website to order, and with the chair’s habit of selling out not long after going on sale, you’ll need to set an alarm and act fast to bag yourself the bargain.
