Alton Towers has unveiled the “ultimate room for chocolate lovers” this week as part of its recent collaboration with Cadbury.

In preparation for reopening this month, the hugely-popular attraction has partnered with the UK’s most iconic chocolate maker to create this “sensational” chocolate-themed suite inside the Alton Towers Hotel that is decked out from top to bottom to look like the interior of a working chocolate factory.

Not only is the room painted the iconic Cadbury purple, it also features pressure dials on the walls, pipes around the ceiling, and bags of fake cocoa beans lying around.

The room – which sleeps up to six people – is divided into two and boasts a large double bed, a double sofa bed and themed bunkbeds, as well as a lounge area that features large cogs on the wall behind the iconic Cadbury logo, so that kids can “let their imaginations run wild and pretend they are controlling the chocolate factory”.

Guests can also “immerse themselves” in the interactive room by hunting for the hidden chocolate and solving the clue to unlock the safe full of even more “delicious delights”.

Yes, you heard that right – there’s a hidden supply Cadbury’s chocolate.

Speaking on the unveiling of the new room, Janet Gurr – Hotels and Accommodation Development Director at Alton Towers – said: “We were really excited to partner with Cadbury to create our new chocolate room.

“After a fun-filled day of thrilling world-class roller coasters and splashtastic water rides, families can continue the magic in the chocolate factory themed suite and hunt for the hidden chocolate bars.

“We pride ourselves on creating thrilling, memorable and innovative experiences and we’re sure our guests will love the latest addition in our portfolio of unique themed suites”.

The Chocolate Room is the latest of the hotel’s themed suites.

This collection already includes everything from the Princess room, to Arctic Explorer and Moon Voyage rooms, and also new to the hotel this year are four interactive Gangsta Granny-themed rooms, inspired by the world of David Walliams.

The new Chocolate Room is available now, with bookings being taken from 17th May 2021.
