Documentary about Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend and family coming to Netflix

A documentary following Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and his family life is coming to Netflix.
The Portuguese striker, who recently became the all time leading goalscorer in international football, has just moved back to Manchester with his girlfriend and young family.
Meanwhile, Georgina – who has been with Cristiano for five years – is in the middle of launching her own reality TV show on Netflix called I Am Georgina.
The 27-year-old made the surprising announcement on Monday night, sharing a promotional picture of her new project which showed her in bed eating pizza.
The show will see Ronaldo tell the story of how he and Georgina met, revealing that “it was a split-second moment”.
Her life changed five years ago when Ronaldo walked into the Gucci store she was being paid £10 an hour to work at. The rest is history.
Netflix Spain’s Director of Entertainment Alvaro Diaz said: “Georgina is totally honest and recognises in the documentary that her life changed from having nothing to absolutely everything.
“‘I Am Georgina’ has a strong aspirational component. Georgina went from selling luxury to being gifted it and showing it off on the red carpet.
“She was a normal young woman whose life changed dramatically one day.
“She was leaving work one day and crossed paths with the love of her life. Who has not dreamed of that?”
He also confirmed Ronaldo would make an appearance, adding: “Cristiano’s incorporation is total but complements a vision of who Georgina is and her relationship with the father of her children.
“It was a split-second moment. I never thought it would be that big as to fall in love with her, I really didn’t expect it,” he says in the new production.
“It conditions all her life but the focus is on her and knowing her also through her own eyes.”
Rodriguez will get her first taste of Old Trafford on Saturday, when Ronaldo makes his Manchester United return against Newcastle at home.
