Ever-popular baking competition reality show The Great British Bake Off is launching a brand new baking box subscription delivery service.
It’s pretty safe to say that the Channel 4 show – which aired the semi-final on Tuesday night and will see amateur bakers Peter Sawkins, Dave Friday and Laura Adlington battle it out to be crowned the winner next week – has a massive loyal following of fans.
And now it’s giving viewers the chance to get involved in all the action from home.
The official new Bake Off Box subscription service will deliver everything you need to tackle your own baking project – with recipes approved by the Bake Off team – and keen bakers can sign up to receive a DIY treat delivered straight to their door from February 2021.
Each delivery will include a collectible, bespoke piece of baking equipment, as well as British-sourced dry ingredients – which are all pre-measured to reduce waste – and, of course, a recipe challenge just as fans of the show have come to recognise and expect.

Recipes included in the box will be suitable for all skill levels.

Also included will be recipe cards with broken down, easy-to-follow steps and illustrated with photography of each stage of the bake, to make life easier for those just getting to grips with baking.
Speaking on the launch of the Bake Off Box subscription service, Becca Watson – Home Economist for GBBO – said: “We know how many are inspired to bake when the show is on air.
“The Bake Off Box takes that one step further, delivering the recipes direct to your door, so that everyone can join in, test their skills and get a taste of what they see on screen.

A monthly rolling subscription of the Bake Off Box is £19.99 per month, a three-month bundle is £59.97, and a six-month deal is £119.94.
From every box purchased, 50p will be donated to Stand Up To Cancer, which is, of course, the charity campaign that the ‘Celebrity Bake Off’ special supports each year.

A beloved city centre takeaway has been given the title of ‘Jewel of Manchester’ by chart-topping UK singer Sam Smith.

Smith decided to pop in and grab a cheeky rice and three from long-standing backstreet food business This & That, and it certainly went down a treat.
After sampling their amazing selection of meat, vegetable and vegan curries, the musician crowned this family-run Indian takeaway a ‘Jewel of Manchester’.
The hitmaker described this Northern Quarter Indian eatery as ‘Everything food should be’ and definitely enjoyed all the curries on offer ‘leaving belly and heart full’.
This & That prides itself on affordable and comforting food with its ‘Rice and Three Curries’ starting from just £6 – not bad for a city centre foodie spot.
Sam has racked up an impressive 490k followers via their ‘Sam Served’ profile, with famous faces like Lily Allen, Denise Welch and CMAT all wanting to know the superstar’s foodie thoughts.
After enjoying a curry or three, Sam Smith also made sure to feed their soul to by venturing down to Afflecks and getting lost in the music at Mars Tapes.

Manchester Museum is now offering one lucky family the chance to have a sleepover with Stan the Tyrannosaurus rex.
For the first time in Manchester Museum’s history, one lucky family will be given the chance to experience an incredible night at the museum.
This unique opportunity is being offered as part of a prize draw, allowing visitors to find out what happens once the sun goes down inside the Fossils and Dinosaurs gallery – in the company of Stan, the famous Tyrannosaurus rex, of course.
The Fossils and Dinosaurs gallery is one of the most iconic spaces within Manchester Museum.
Having opened to the public all the way back in 1888, it’s part of the museum’s original building designed by celebrated Alfred Waterhouse, who also designed Manchester Town Hall and London’s Natural History Museum.
Not only will the lucky winning family enjoy an overnight stay in the gallery, but they’ll also be treated to a guided torchlight tour of the galleries after the Museum has closed, as well as other fun activities and a film screening too before bed.
