Greater Manchester Police is calling all children aged four to sixteen to enter its Christmas Card Competition 2020 and there’s still a few days left to get involved.
The force is offering young and aspiring artists the opportunity to have their festive artwork displayed on the front of the official corporate Greater Manchester Police Christmas card this year, with a design that demonstrates the different roles in policing and the work officers do around the clock to keep communities and the people in them safe.
All entries must be hand-drawn, and the image should fit on one side of A5 (an A4 piece folded in half), either portrait or landscape.
GMP has asked that the designs this year illustrate various roles within the Policing sector and the importance of them, particularly in the year of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Some examples provided are:
- Police Officer
- Call Handlers
- Police Community Support Officer
- Crime Scene Investigator
- Police Volunteer
- Traffic Officer
- Special Constable
- Chief Constable
- Communications Officers
- Human Resources
Originality is key, and all entries must include images that fit within the relevant themes mentioned as above.
And there’s some pretty great prizes up for grabs too.
As well as seeing their design used as the official Greater Manchester Police Force Christmas Card, and posted online and across official social media platforms, the winner will also receive an exciting Greater Manchester Police Goodie Bag, and £10 voucher of their choice too.
You have until Monday 30th November 2020 to get designing and send your entries in.
When submitting entries, Greater Manchester Police also requires the full name of entrant, their date of birth, their home address, home phone number, email address (can be of parent/guardian), and the name of the parent/guardian who gives permission for the child to enter the competition.
Entries can be submitted via email to – email@example.com – with the subject line Christmas Card Competition 2020.
