More than one million people – and counting – have now signed up to attend a spoof event at 10 Downing Street.

A Facebook event was created earlier this week in retaliation to the allegations about the Conservative party having a Christmas do while the rest of the nation was banned from doing so.

The Christmas Rave at 10 Downing Street event has now attracted hundreds of thousands who say they’ll attend the festivities on Christmas Eve.

If you were hoping for a massive line-up of music, you might be disappointed though.

The rave is set to take place outside Downing Street on Christmas Eve.

The event listing says it will be headlined by ‘Boris Johnson and Chums’.

Much like the rumoured party at Downing Street, there’ll be no social distancing required.

Organiser, DJ Jon Mancini, also wrote: “Bring who you like. Bring your own Nibbles and drink.”

So many people have now RSVPd, Jon has since updated to the page to say: “We are at 900k party ppl.

Boris Johnson in PMQs this week.

“If we get 1million Ravers on this I might look at doing Boxing day due to demand. Thoughts?”

In the comments, people have asked if Theresa May will open the dancefloor, if the PM will ‘eat his vaccine passport as a party trick’, and if Plan B will be playing.

Boris Johnson and his colleagues have been under fire all week after damning reports in The Mirror suggested that parties were held by the Government.

One of those, on November 27, took place while the nation was in full lockdown.

The other suggested event- the Christmas party – was on December 18, when London was in Tier Three, with all indoor mixing banned.

Downing Street has denied that any such event took place, but a leaked video showing Allegra Stratton laughing and joking about them has caused widespread anger.
